Poem for the week of January 30, 2024
Got me good on this one, Mathew - Wow!
Thank you! This one took some doing.
It paid off, Mathew - I think this is one of the best of yours I've read!
You have exposed the light at the rear of the tunnel.
My comment.
Fire
We all end in a fire, some
Final blaze of glory
Enflamed lung
Raging tumor
Sparks of an ember
Crematory?
End of story
Thanks, Malcolm! And well done.
Thanks Matthew. I have noted before that trading comments I what I like best about Substack.
Be well.
This is a Very Good Poem.🤘
Thanks, Lizzy. I'm honored.
Marvelous. So satisfying.
Inspired, very moving. The futility of hope for happiness, no matter the passion for one another that consumes these lovers.
Patris, thanks so much! I'm so glad it connected.
Carumba That's a Deep Poem
Thanks, Mark. Greatly appreciate that.
‘I’ll burn the books, for warmth more than light’ is an outstanding line in an outstanding piece. Many thanks for sharing.
Thanks for reading and the kind words, Kevin.
